Weekend Trail Riding

Due to the beautiful weather we are having in Missouri (as well as many other places), we went trail riding for Sunday.  It is turkey season - so we had to wait until after 1:00 to ride.  We had a group of nine (Loren, Cori, Cole, Jeff, Kacie, Brody, Tim and Sheila) mule riders.  The temperature reached 89 but it was pleasant in the woods.  The Conservation Department had recently conducted a control burn so it was a little smokey and not real green - but it should be very pretty in a few weeks. It was a really nice day and the company was great!

OKlahoma Horse Fair Mule Clinic 2

On Sunday morning, Loren had his second clinic on mule packing. This clinic lasted about 1 1/2-2 hours. Again - a nice turnout and I was able to watch it online. I couldn't tell if people got his jokes - but I giggled at the appropriate times.

One of the greatest things about the Horse Fair was that I was able to watch Loren's clinics online. It was really a nice aspect to the horse fair. Loren said there was a nice crowd at the clinic on Friday evening. The clinic lasted about an hour.

Loren was asked to do the mule clinics at the Oklahoma Horse Fair in Duncan, OK this past weekend. He was not the scheduled clinician - but agreed to fill in at the last minute. The first clinic on Friday was on the hard to catch mule. This would not have been our choice of topics - but it is what it is. I wasn't able to attend so Tim Cross, the stand in Mules and More photographer, took some pictures for me.
