Gaited Mule Winner

This is Brad Crismon from New Bloomfield riding his 2 year old. He kicked butt in the gaited classes. I have been told that his mule can outwalk most walking horses. He won multiiple blues and two red ribbons. He was amazing. I will be posting a video of some gaited mules on the blog. They really are impressive. Congratulations to Brad and his wife.

There are a couple of videos of Brad Crismon showing Gold Coin's Millie at the first annual AGMA Gaited Mules State Fair Show in Sedalia, Missouri, on August 16, 2009, on the new Missouri Gaited Mules website: Missouri Gaited Mules. The site is to promote gaited mules and gaited mule farms in Missouri. All of the gaited mules at the AGMA Missouri State Fair Gaited Mule Show were naturally gaited, shown flat shod, no heavy pads or shoes. That's the way we do it in the Show Me State. Second Annual Missouri State Fair AGMA Gaited Mule Show, August 15, 2010, Sedalia, Missouri

The second annual Missouri State Fair AGMA Gaited Mule Show will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2010, beginning at 12:00 pm in Sedalia, Missouri, at the Mathewson Exhibition Center. The Missouri State Fair mule show this year is a two-day show August 14-15 and will include NASMA, Missouri State Fair, and AGMA classes.

We had a really good AGMA gaited mule show at the Missouri State Fair in August 2009 and hope to have an even better Missouri State Fair AGMA Gaited Mule Show on August 15, 2010. We hope that we will have some out of state entries this year. There will be plenty of stalls on the State Fair grounds in the brick barns. Motels are hard to come by, but there is a large camping area on the State Fair grounds. You can stall your mules on Saturday, August 14, after 9:00 am, and they can stay in the barns until Monday morning, August 16. A current Coggins test and health papers are required for out of state entries. Mules entered in the AGMA gaited mule show must be AGMA registered, but that can be started at the time of the show.

Visit http://www.missourigaitedmules.com for a list of the 2010 Missouri State Fair AGMA gaited mule classes (15 total classes) and entry fee, stalling, and other information. I will put NASMA classes and entry information on the website when they are finalized. Entry forms for all of the Missouri State Fair mule classes will be on the Missouri State Fair website when the schedule is finalized. The entry deadline is July 1, 2010. Late entries will be accepted but will incur a penalty fee.

Again, we hope you will enter your gaited mules in the Missouri State Fair AGMA Gaited Mule Show in Sedalia, Missouri, on August 15, 2010.

MO State Fair AGMA Show Fees & Other Information
August 15, 2010, Sedalia, Missouri

Mules for the AGMA gaited mule show are required to be AGMA (American Gaited Mule Association) registered. It is preferred that AGMA registration be completed prior to the show; however, the AGMA registration process can be started at the show, which will qualify the mule for the show. AGMA registration fees ($25. per mule ) should be paid by check.

All AGMA mules will be inspected prior to showing and must remain in the staging area until shown. If a tack change is required at a different location, the mule will need to be reinspected. The fee for inspection is $10. per class up to $40. total. This fee will be submitted to Superintendent John Niebruegge and should be paid by check.

Fees for the AGMA gaited mule show are as follows: $20. stall fee and $10. fee per class per mule. Two mules may be stalled together. AGMA mules will be stalled in the brick barns. Stalls should be open at 9:00 am on Saturday (August 14) and can be used until Monday morning (August 16). State Fair entry and stall fees should be paid by check or credit card and submitted to the address on the entry form available on the Internet. The deadline for entry is July 1, 2010. Entries may be submitted after that date, but will incur a penalty.

Jason Bachert, the gaited mule show judge, is a licensed judge affiliated with the National Show Horse Commission, Inc. The first four places in each class will be awarded a cash prize to be determined.
