Jason Crist
I mentioned in an earlier post that Jason Crist had received 5 first places in the Halter Classes and received grand champion. I can't remember anyone every winning with all three of the animals that they were showing. I know that Loyd Hawley and Julie Kennedy both had extremely successful halter careers with mules. Loyd, years ago, had several colts that he won with. So I don't really know how big a deal this was, but I felt like Jason had an amazing halter show. He raised Dora and Zap before selling them and he raised Brass out of a different jack. I just feel like Jason had a once in a lifetime halter show and that it was impressive.
Hard work
It is hard work to get ready for any show. It was very, very hot at Shelbyville this year. There were baths all over the fairgrounds.

Slip and Slide
It is extremely hot and humid here in Missouri today. Camri came to our house for the day and we went and picked up her friend Kacie (daughter of Jeff and Jennifer Smith). The girls decided to play in the slip and slide. It take 20 minutes for me to figure out how to set it up, get out the houses and get them dressed and they played about 15 minutes before deciding it was too hot even for this activity.
