Cori showed at the 67th Dixon Horse Show last night in Dixon. She and her young mule, Maggie, got 2nd of 12 in the Walk/Trot class. She and Hoosier Daddy got first in the Quarter Mule Western Pleasure class. Camri took Shadaizy but didn't show. She has finally started to show some interest in showing. We had a nice evening. Loren's mom, Sue, attended with us. Once the sun went down there was a nice breeze.
This blog is a day to day record of the life at our farm: the mules, the dogs and the kids.

Round Robin Roping
105 in the Shade
We went trail riding yesterday at Mark Twain National Forest in Newburg. The water was cool -but it was very hot (like everywhere else in the United States). Loren and I were joined by Tim and Sheila and Jiggs and Barb from Iowa and Jeff, Brody and Kacie and Steve and Jessie and Wesley from around the Booneville area.

Team Roping
River Splashing
Camri loves to splash in the river. She loves to have Grandpa come run by her and splash her and her mule. Loren and Jeff spent summers at the Cross Country Trail Ride in Emminence and learned the "fine art" of mule splashing in the river. Camri thinks it is the best part of trail riding. Loren is riding Sky Dancer who was having her first trail ride. She did great on the trails and splashing in the river.
