This blog is a day to day record of the life at our farm: the mules, the dogs and the kids.

Camri and the Barrels
This is a video of Camri running her first barrel pattern at a NASMA show. She also ran the poles but I was so nervous I forgot to turn the camera on. Loren and I were much more nervous than she was. We put an adult at each barrel - but she didn't need us. She did great.

The Fancy's My Name Fan Club
Camri discovered Fancy at this show. She believes she is the most beautiful mule in the whole world and would like to have Fancy's tail on Shadaizy. Camri is all about tails. She was the loudest fan at the show when Fancy was in the ring. Fancy is her new favorite mule - that doesn't live at our house of course!
Dog Show
Dog Show - the highlight of the whole weekend
The Youth Director also arranged a dog show. It was by far the highlight of the whole weekend. Each kid brought up their dog and talked about them and showed/shared a special talent that their dog had. Each kid and their dog won an award. It was the greatest idea - a real joy. There were dogs who could jump on picnic tables, dogs who danced, dogs who played dead, dogs who peed on trash cans.... The kids and adults had a wonderful time.
NASMA Youth
The NASMA Youth Director is outstanding. The youth had a get together and played some games during the break at the show. The kids had a wonderful time. (A special thanks to Kelsey Brumley for being Camri's partner in the 3 legged race.) A huge thanks to the director for putting her time and effort into this get together.
